Face of a Survivor: Cherri

Jan 17, 2012

Name: Cherri C.

Country: United States

I find it hard considering myself as a survivor until the quote “5 yrs” …as my Oncologist likes to refer too has past since diagnosis.  And being a breast cancer victim is not all that defines me. My favorite quote is from John Wayne…”courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway.”  That is kind of how I have felt throughout the whole process, the doctors never really tell you what to expect.  I would say 90% of what I learned, I found myself, through websites like yours by people who had been through it all and wanted to take the time to hold the hand of another and help guide them through the darkest hours.
